Testimonials
“When a previous consultant failed to meet our expectations we approached Caroline at Quessentia Consulting for assistance with securing environmental approvals for a major power line project within compressed timeframes. Caroline’s extensive knowledge and experience with State and Commonwealth environmental legislation and approvals processes resulted in the delivery of high quality documentation and the negotiation of realistic and achievable approval conditions. Caroline brings an amazingly positive ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness and ability to mentor other team members. I would not hesitate to recommend Caroline’s services to any prospective clients. “

”Quessentia performed very well on the Karara Iron Ore Project Rail Referral submission. Caroline is to be commended for actively challenging attitudes and past practices and delivering outstanding outcomes that pleased government bodies reviewing our project.
I think that the approach adopted by Caroline will be an example to be followed by other organisations seeking to implement projects like ours in an environmentally responsible way.
I was impressed by the extra and sustained effort that Caroline made in partnership with KML to evaluate all of the risks associated with our project and finding win win solutions that benefited both KML and the stringent environmental requirements placed on the project.
It was clear that Quessentia understood and shared the commitment that KML had for the environment and most importantly demonstrated the same level of commitment and willingness to achieve positive and cost effective outcomes.”
Frank Cosoleto, Development Manager- Infrastructure for Karara Mining Limited
“Good technical background, personnel are a pleasure to work with - we are establishing a long term relationship. The knowledge Quessentia brings to project teams in the area of sustainability and regulatory approvals is important to Abigroup and its long-term relationship with its clients.”
Kieron Whalley, Business Development Manager for Abigroup
Caroline La Fontaine of Quessentia Pty Ltd led state and federal approvals for the Muja to Southdown (280km) transmission line project to supply Western Power’s largest electricity customer, Grange Resources. This transmission line traverses extensive areas of high environmental significance.
Caroline developed an environmental approvals strategy addressing the overall environmental risks and benefits of potential options. This provided the framework for the approvals schedule, for meeting requirements of government and for the delivery of all environmental approvals.
Her risk based methodology ensured collaboration between client representatives, sponsors, engineering designers, project managers and environmental specialists to produce environmental outcomes acceptable to both the client and environmental regulators.
Caroline supervised impact assessments that targeted key risks identified in the risk assessment process. Strategies were developed with environmental experts and key stakeholders to manage these risks and minimize project environmental impacts.
Caroline’s approach enabled approvals documents to be delivered on time, achieved lower levels of environmental assessment than originally predicted, and shorter than expected approval times.
Caroline applied her extensive knowledge and experience of environmental issues associated with major linear infrastructure and state and federal approvals processes to achieve outstanding results. She challenged existing attitudes, was innovative in her approach and provided Western Power staff with knowledge not previously available to them.
I commend Caroline for her work at Western Power. I would recommend Quessentia to any prospective clients.
